Preconception care & Counseling

Preconception health care Pregnancy is a huge life transition, so it’s important to take care of your health and psychologically, emotionally, and physically prepare yourself and your partner before you conceive. You and your child will benefit greatly from it. You and your baby are making the proper choice by going this route. You and your unborn child have been thoroughly examined to rule out any health problems that could complicate your pregnancy. If necessary, your doctor may prescribe medication or recommend invasive surgery to resolve any underlying conditions. The goal is to be in the best possible mental and physical shape before starting a family. Our gynecologist and counselor will talk to you about the following issues:

Prenatal Care

You and your unborn child need high-quality prenatal care. Make your pregnancy more joyful and less stressful by selecting PFRC as your go-to healthcare provider as soon as possible.
Don't wait to get your first prenatal checkup scheduled. Prenatal care visits include screenings for conditions that can cause difficulties during pregnancy. Don't put it off any longer if you haven't already gone that route.

Antenatal Care

During the first and second trimesters, every four weeks is the norm. You will be seen more frequently in the third trimester, typically every two weeks up until 36 weeks, and then weekly up until the birth of the baby.
We recommend that you come in for your initial appointment around the eighth week of pregnancy. If you have a medical condition, a history of pregnancy complications, or symptoms like vaginal bleeding, abdominal pain, or severe nausea and vomiting, we will see you as quickly as possible.
Don't be shy about asking questions or bringing up concerns at this and future prenatal visits. It could be helpful to have a running list of questions in case any arise in the time between consultations.
