Hi-Tech IVF treatments at PFRC

The average pregnancy rate through IVF treatments is only around 50-60% in most fertility clinics. The success rate is greatly affected due to the health condition of the parents and the quality of the eggs and sperm.

At PFRC, we follow Hi-Tech IVF procedures to increase the success rate to up to 80% and produce the best babies at optimum health. Through lifestyle modification, vitamins, and other supplements, we increase the quality of the eggs and sperm and select the best of them for fertilization.

Hi-Tech methods we follow to increase IVF success rates to 80%

IMSI (Intracytoplasmic Morphologically Selected Sperm Injection)

IMSI is a sperm selection method to select the best sperm to be injected into the egg’s cytoplasm. It is the enhanced version of the conventional ICSI procedure.

While ICSI gives approximately 200x magnification, IMSI gives us almost 6000x magnification allowing us to select the best of the best sperm for fertilization, thus increasing success rates.

Embryoscope

The embryoscope is a hi-tech incubation device that monitors and captures images of fertilized embryos at regular intervals. This prevents the need of having to remove the embryos from the incubator for monitoring.

This gives us insights into embryo development and helps us select the best embryos for embryo transfer.

Embryo glue

Embryo glue is a chemical substance made of a compound called Hyaluronan. It is used to coat the embryos before transferring them into the uterus to increase the chances of implantation.

PGS (Pre-implantation Genetic Screening)

PGS allows us to select chromosomally normal embryos among all the fertilized embryos. This process involves removing one or more cells from an embryo and testing whether they have the normal 23 pairs of chromosomes (46 in total).

PGD (Pre-implantation Genetic Diagnosis)

PGD is a procedure done to reduce the risk of transferring embryos with genetic diseases passed on from the parents. This is usually done for couples who have a family history of genetic diseases like cystic fibrosis or sickle cell aneamia.

ERA (Endometrial Receptivity Array)

The ERA is a test done to find the right time to implant the embryo in the endometrial lining. This test analyzes a woman’s endometrial receptivity and assesses when she will be receive the embryo without any issues.

This test helps us find any issues with the endometrium and rectify it before the embryos are transferred to increase the chances of successful implantations.

Cytoplasmic transfer

We, at PFRC, take pride in pioneering this revolutionary method in Chennai. In this method, the cytoplasm of high-quality donor eggs is transferred to patients with poor egg quality.

This intricate method to improve pregnancy success rate works best for older women whose eggs have lost their quality or for young women who suffer from unexplained infertility.

Testicular sperm mapping

In most men diagnosed with Azoospermia (no sperm count), there will be a small number of sperm that are being produced in specific focal areas. Testicular sperm mapping is done to determine if there are any sperm produced and where they are produced.

These sperm can be used in procedures like ICSI/IMSI, thus giving these men a chance to have their own biological child.

Stem cell therapy

This therapy is used to strengthen the endometrial lining of women who have a thin endometrial lining that leads to implantation failure. Stem cell therapy can be used to improve the improve the chances of implantation and pregnancy for these women.

Acupuncture

At PFRC, we perform acupuncture for women either just before or after embryo transfer. We follow an acupuncture method called Sujok where fine micro needles are inserted at certain energy meridians on the hands and feet.

This acupuncture stimulates the neurotransmitters that trigger gonadotropin-releasing hormones and stimulate blood flow to the uterus and cause the body to relax.

Ovarian rejuvenation therapy

Ovarian rejuvenation is a technique that can help produce fresh eggs in the ovaries of women who wish to have their own biological child but are unable to conceive due to early menopause, late maternal age, or low oocyte (egg) reserves.
