About Prashanth Fertility Research Center (PFRC)
It is a source of pride that, in the wake of addressing the growing infertility issues, we, at PFRC, have taken advantage of numerous innovative technologies and systems.
Over the past two decades, pregnancy rates have increased significantly around the world due to the adoption of new patient preparation and orientation techniques, diagnostic tools, laboratory equipment, and facilities, as well as notable advancements in gynecologists’ and embryologists’ training programs.
Pregnancy rates have also astonishingly increased from 10–15% (in the early 1990s) to 60-70% (present-day). In order to provide top-notch care in assisted reproduction, obstetrics, gynecology, and minimally invasive operations, PFRC has also adopted many of these technologies in its services.
At this point, it needs to be emphasized once more that the global clinic rating has designated the PFRC as an “International Accredited Clinic.” The coveted “THE ROSES OF PARACELSUS” award for the best medical practices and practitioners was also given to PFRC.
The PFRC was ranked first in Chennai and fourth overall in India for All India Fertility and IVF procedures in the Times of India study that was done in 2018.
It has expertise in various treatments, including IUI, IVF, ICSI, Assisted Hatching (AH), Blastocyst Transfer, Sperm and Embryo Cryopreservation, PGD, Endometriosis, and others.

- The Alpha Male Health Clinic, a male fertility center run by the PFRC, comprises skilled and committed andrologists and gynecologists specializing in treating male health issues, particularly male infertility.
With these facilities, 70–80% of patients can get pregnant without using assisted reproductive technologies. The ovarian reserve can be determined, and medication doses can be calculated using newer tests such as the measurement of anti-Mullerian hormone levels and the count of antral follicles.

One of our highlights is the “Donor Egg” and “Surrogacy” programs; as of today, more than 36000 infants have been delivered.
This center has also acquired the Diode Laser for aided embryo hatching, and there are additional facilities for genetic research, such as “Pre-Implantation Genetic Diagnosis and Pre-Natal Testing” for chromosomal and genetic diseases.

We have a specialized “Care Team” to understand our patient’s needs better and develop individualized treatment plans. We believe that familiar and consistent care improves each patient’s well-being and ultimately leads to success in their treatments.
Our team includes an in-house Embryologist trained at Sydney IVF Australia and two Consultant Embryologists from Australia. We also have 12 more dedicated embryologists on our team. Quality control assays are performed on a routine to ensure high-quality performance.
At PFRC, our laboratory houses ultra-modern facilities and state-of-the-art equipment to provide the finest reproductive endocrine care. They are backed up with a duplicate set of equipment for emergency purposes.
Our equipment
Compact benchtop incubators maintain gas flow and temperature for the embryos. Every patient has their own chamber. Opening and closing one patient’s chamber won’t affect the other patients’ embryo chambers.
A humidicrib is a modern workstation with a stereomicroscope. The eggs and embryos are manipulated at this workstation in a closed space with regulated temperature and gas that mimics the uterus. The quality of the embryo is improved by this setup, which raises the pregnancy rate.
It is a semen bank or Cryobank that stores human sperm for future use. Semen is stored for different types of patients. This especially helps men with azoospermia.
In this procedure, the sperm are cryoprotected by a specific technique and stored in straws and plunged in liquid nitrogen.
Sperm DNA fragmentation is the physical severing of one or both DNA strands in the sperm chromosomes. In order to identify males who are at risk of failing to start a pregnancy, a DNA test is performed to determine the DNA Integrity.
It is an inverted microscope with an adjustable temperature-treated stage. It has a suction syringe to hold the egg and an injection syringe to inject the sperm into the egg.
CASA is designed with a phase contrast microscope to perform a reliable assessment of sperm movement patterns and morphological characteristics in semen.
